Systems thinking
Model the workflow, failure modes, ownership, and operating environment before optimizing an isolated component.
Team / Jacob Yongue
I’m a software engineer with an implementation background and a systems view of delivery. My work spans requirements, architecture, application development, integrations, QA, deployment, training, operational handoff, and production support.
I’m most useful when the problem crosses boundaries: code and workflow, product and operations, technical design and project delivery. I make those boundaries explicit, learn the unfamiliar parts quickly, and keep evidence close enough that another person can understand what the system actually does.
Approach
Model the workflow, failure modes, ownership, and operating environment before optimizing an isolated component.
Stay hands-on through the code, integration, testing, deployment, adoption, and the edge cases production reveals.
Make scope, risk, decisions, and handoff legible so progress survives team and technology boundaries.
Reduce unfamiliar technology to explicit contracts, inspectable behavior, and small verifiable steps.
AI, supply-chain, fulfillment, and public-sector systems delivered from discovery through production.
These roles, systems, integrations, and deployments describe Jacob's professional experience. Work completed for prior employers and their customers is not presented as WizardGang client work.
Career history
What I owned, what I delivered, and the operating context around each role.
Building practical systems that use artificial intelligence (AI) at the University of Georgia.
Led distributed delivery for enterprise warehouse management system (WMS) implementations, integrations, releases, and production support.
Led .NET case-management delivery, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), production support, and migration planning for public-sector systems.
Run a seasonal short-term rental every year, owning licensing, pricing, bookings, guest service, compliance, and closeout.
Built and supported .NET fulfillment systems, extract-transform-load (ETL) data pipelines, warehouse management system (WMS) integrations, and migrations without planned downtime.
Jacob's professional record includes ERP and WMS integration work, fulfillment and carrier workflows, REST/JSON APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML/SSO, SOAP, EDI, SQL/T-SQL, ETL and data pipelines, interface and data mapping, QA/UAT, cutovers, and production support.
